What is JS | Web Essentials

One of the three building blocks of Web development after HTML and CSS,

JavaScript is one of the most popular and fastest growing programming or web language. It is also called as a scripting language which enables you to create animated images, Web/ Mobile applications, real time networking apps or even games.

To add to your facts, Brendan Eich is regarded as the father of JavaScript. The rise in the Web industry has taken JavaScript places it was never conceived before. One of the very first and common doubt any student face is to understand the difference between JavaScript and JAVA, but to clear that doubt both are different programming languages having different syntax and use.

JavaScript is a high-level, object-oriented programming language used to make web pages more interactive. It lets you implement complex and beautiful designs to your web pages. It is basically used to make the web look alive by adding motion to it.

Unlike the other programming languages which require a compiler to run the code, this language runs in a browser.  So, you can run it in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari etc. It can be executed not only in a browser but any server which has a JavaScript engine installed in it.

It is a very easy to learn and simple to implement language without any strict rules to code. As JavaScript is client-side language it is very fast to run any code. So, it is  mostly loved by developers.
